If you want to boost your hydration and electrolytes to support your health and wellness, try sole water! It’s easy to make and only requires two ingredients.
What is sole water?
Soli (pronounced solay) is water that has been infused with unrefined salt. Often made with pink Himalayan salt, it is a concentrated salt water that is a great way to boost your body’s electrolytes.
Many people add salt to their water to reap its health benefits. Palm-fish water is not the equivalent of salted drinking water. It is water that has absorbed the maximum amount of salt (26% actually…thanks, high school chemistry!). Think of seawater, it is similar to palm-fish water.
While drinking salt water is a good practice, salt water gives you more electrolytes. We lose electrolytes when we sweat or fast. It’s a great way to replenish these minerals because it provides sodium along with magnesium, calcium, iron and potassium in trace amounts.
The type of salt you use is key! Regular table salt is highly processed. The manufacturing process strips it of many vital minerals. Factories often bleach the salt and add chemicals to it to keep it from clumping. You will need natural, unprocessed salt (Himalayan salt, Raymond salt, or Celtic sea salt) to make sole.
Why do we drink sandal water?
Health experts have told us for years that salt can be bad, so drinking salt water may seem counterintuitive. However, multiple studies have shown that drinking seawater (also concentrated salt water) can have a variety of health-promoting benefits. Some countries have used the sol fish for centuries. I drink sol water every day but especially when I’m active (And sweating!) Or when I am fasting.
It is interesting to note that the traditional recommendation for many of these problems involves removing excess salt from the diet. Table salt can certainly have a negative effect and is best avoided. However, natural salt is less processed and contains trace minerals that are not found in table salt. Natural salt is incredibly nutritious for the body.

How do I make the sole?
Since sole is simply salt and water, the quality of the salt is very important. While it is usually made with pink Himalayan salt, you can also use Redmond salt or Celtic sea salt. All of these natural, unprocessed salts contain roughly the same amount of trace minerals, such as magnesium and potassium.
Ayurvedic practices often use Himalayan salt to balance the body’s energies. Be sure to use natural, unprocessed salt.
I like to use mostly Himalayan salt, with a small amount of Redmond or Celtic salt added in. Redmond salt has the mildest flavor of the three, so if you’re new to salt water, this is the easiest option to start with.
Sandal water recipe
Sole water is loaded with natural salt minerals. It is beneficial for digestive health, leg cramps, hydration, sleep and much more.

Fill a glass jar one-quarter full with Himalayan salt, Celtic sea salt, real salt, or a combination of the three.

Add filtered water to fill the jar, leaving about an inch at the top.

Put the plastic cover on and shake the jar gently.

Leave it on the counter overnight until the salt dissolves.

If some salt remains at the bottom of the jar the next day, the water has absorbed the maximum amount of salt, and the sole is ready to use.

If all the salt has been absorbed, add more salt and continue doing this every day until there is some salt left at the bottom. This means the water is completely saturated with salt.

- For use: Mix 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of Sol herb in a glass of water and drink it every morning on an empty stomach. Do not use any metal tools to measure or stir.
- Salt water is very corrosive, so avoid using metal utensils or metal cover to prevent oxidation.
How to use the sole
After you have prepared the mixture, store it at room temperature. It will last indefinitely because salt is naturally antibacterial and antifungal. Add more water and salt as needed to maintain the quantity in the jar. Just watch to see if there are any salt crystals at the bottom of the jar after letting it sit overnight. This means that the water has fully absorbed the salt. If there are no additional crystals, add more salt and let it sit overnight again.
To drink, add 1/2 – 1 teaspoon to a cup of water. Every morning Drink it on an empty stomach. Don’t add more, especially when you first start taking it! If it causes a reaction to the detoxification process or a headache, increase the amount gradually. You can also try adding lemon to your water to make it more flavorful.
Side effects of insole water
When you first start taking it, it may make you feel nauseous. If so, try starting with a smaller amount. Although it works best when taken on an empty stomach, you can also add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon to 32 ounces of water and drink it throughout the morning.
Taking sol can also irritate your stomach or cause diarrhea. If this happens, stop taking it for a few days until your symptoms go away. If you want to try again, start slowly with a small amount and gradually increase it.
Who can drink Sol?
If you have kidney stones, diabetes, or high blood pressure, pure water may not be a good choice. Conventional advice says that adding more salt to your diet with these conditions may make them worse. However, there are Some evidence This means the opposite.
